Niðavellir Shipyard
The Nidavellir Shipyard is a large UCM Shipyard hidden far away from any planetary system.
After the scattering of humans after the first Scourge attack many ships used their ftl drives and made an random Foldspace jump just to get away. Many of this ships found themselves alone in the dark, to close to a star or a black hole and perished but some made it to an empty place in space. And that’s how the Nidavellir belt was discovered. A collection of large rocks, asteroids in different sizes and collection of dust and sand. Exactly how this place come to be, far from any sun, placed in between systems is not known. It is believed it was created after an extremely unlikely collision of two larger celestial body, with no stronger gravity pull in the vicinity this collection of minerals and rocks have held together by their own combined pull of each other. The scatter of large rocks and the natural background radioactivity have created a hiding place. After the survivors made contact with the now formed UCM the area have been put to good use.
Named after the Norse mythology Nidavellir, the world of the dwarves, for its rich mineral and metal resources. Perfectly for foundries and a large shipyard complex.
This is the place to produce ships...

Skirmishes over Solvor- Dropfleet Commander AAR, UCM vs PHR
The United Colonies of Mankind have come in contact with forces of the Post Human Republic yet again over the planet of Solvor.
In this area of conflict we find two larger cities and orbiting these are two military space stations. The weaponry on the space stations are currently off line but should be in good shape and could be put back in to work, someone just need to land troops on the large space stations to activate them again.
We played scenario 2: Mixed Engagement.
With the new destroyers almost painted up I wanted to try some of them in this game perticular the smaller carriers to be able to fill up the lauch assats limit.
Here is the list I played, I wanted to try out lots of fighters and bombers this time.
I put an Commadore in an Seattle class Fleet Carrier as my commander for this fleet.

The UCM makes an aggressive start, trying to make the inclosing PHR fleet hesitant.
The UCM Commandore in his Seattle class Fleet Carrier escorted by an Jakarta class Aegis Frigate. The plan was to hold these back launching bombers and having the Jakarta taking care of any return enemy bombers.
- Contact, enemy fleet spotted.
First enemy ship taken out, an smaller PHR corvettes
My Carrier group, the Seattle and two of the new Vancouver class destroyers, escorted by two Jakartas.

Hard to pick up in this picture unfurtuneutly.
PHR takes out an New Orleans that made an daring dash in an atempt to land troops on the space station.
UCM bombers closing in on the enemy dropship...
Heavy gunfire ensues over the planet of Solvor.
The UCM Commandore sneaks by an area of debries for cover and uppens upp with the UF-6400 Mass Driver Turrets on the enemy...
"Hot Babe" and her sister ship, two Berlin class Cruisers can be seen in the background.
In the foreground the space station occupied by UCM ground troops can be seen.
"Hot Babe" and her sister ship.
Larger PHR ships are seen entering the scene.
UF-6400 Mass Driver Turrets fron another Seattle does its works...
Enemy light Cruiser is seen caching fire from my guns.
The Kiev heavy destroyer is taken out.
We will take a moment of silence for the brave souls of her hull afterwards, let hope most of them managed to make it to the escape hatches.
The Commandores Seattles UF-6400 Mass Driver Turrets are working hard this evening...
"No Guts No Glory" an Santiago class Corvette engage the enemy Corvette in an daring attack taking it out, I need to reinforce this cluster if I should have any chance of securing the ground.
UCM bombers are seen attacking enemy ships.
UCM groundtroops have trouble against the PHR and were beaten back.
Even the reinforcements of "No Guts No Glory" an Santiago class Corvette could do little to help the UCM troops on the ground.
But on the other side of the table things looks better for the UCM.
The United Colonies of Mankind had managed to beat back the Post Human Republic and secure a minor victory.
