Niðavellir Shipyard

The Nidavellir Shipyard is a large UCM Shipyard hidden far away from any planetary system.
After the scattering of humans after the first Scourge attack many ships used their ftl drives and made an random Foldspace jump just to get away. Many of this ships found themselves alone in the dark, to close to a star or a black hole and perished but some made it to an empty place in space. And that’s how the Nidavellir belt was discovered. A collection of large rocks, asteroids in different sizes and collection of dust and sand. Exactly how this place come to be, far from any sun, placed in between systems is not known. It is believed it was created after an extremely unlikely collision of two larger celestial body, with no stronger gravity pull in the vicinity this collection of minerals and rocks have held together by their own combined pull of each other. The scatter of large rocks and the natural background radioactivity have created a hiding place. After the survivors made contact with the now formed UCM the area have been put to good use.

Named after the Norse mythology Nidavellir, the world of the dwarves, for its rich mineral and metal resources. Perfectly for foundries and a large shipyard complex.

Resistance: Palatine Command Barge

When TT Combat released their special event Palatine Command Barge for the Resistance I knew I had to have one to paint, it looked so cool.

And now it was time to give this beauty of a ship some paint...

I wanted the ship to show wear and tear, chipped colours and dirt. To make it feel like a ship that have seen some action or just patrolled the space for a long time.

Im really happy with the end result of this war bird.

And because I just love it... windows, sensors, engine and other details have been painted with florescent colours from Vallejo making them glow when put under UV light...

Resistance: Munifex class Corvettes

The Munifex is a fairly standard corvette-class warship operated by Resistance fleets - it's fast, atmosphere-capable, and armed with specialist missiles akin to those equipped by the UCM's Santiago. Despite their relative ubiquity amongst the Resistance, very few Munifexes actually survived the coming of the Scourge - since their role requires them to operate in atmosphere, they were the furthest ships from any jump points and thus had a small chance of survival. What few managed to escape were forced to withdraw from the battle early due to damage, preserving them to the present day.
That said, the Munifex is still being produced in small quantities, with mixed success.

I just love the smaller spaceships. So I just had to get me some Munifex corvettes for my slowly growing Resistance fleet.

I wanted some variation on the markings but using the same colours to connect them to each other and the rest of my Resistance fleet.
