I painted up these three UCM ships during the weekend.
Well to be fair two of them, and finished the last details on the last one.
Its two Moscow class Heavy Cruisers and an Seattle Fleet Carrier.
Not all the details are easy to see in these pictures but it was hard to get some good picture.
"C23" - Seattle class Fleet Carrier.
Its hard to see here but I painted the fighter and bomber decks in an light brown tone to get the feeling of the wooden decks of some ww2 carriers.
This Moscow Heavy Cruiser have been seen before but I added the last details on her and she is now ready for front-line service again.
I really like the shark mouth on her, inspired by ww2 fighters like the P40-kittyhawk.
"U41" - Moscow class Heavy Cruiser.
I gave her a red front and a small small red star in front of her numbering. The camera had a hard time focusing on it but it is there, I promise.
For the engine glow I added some blue florescent paint from Vallejo, it really added some extra depth to the colours.
I think they will shine bright blue if shined on with an UV-lamp. I dont have any UV-lamp so I cant test if it actually works, but in theory...
And together with the
Saratoga class Light Cruisers I painted previously I get a neat little force ready to be sent to the front.
